DANA'S VANITY

This is my very first product from Glossier and honestly the reason why it took me a while is because I was a bit skeptical about the brand at first. They seemed to me like one of those very overpriced and overhyped brands that are popular because of social media and good branding. Also, most of their products are marketed as very natural looking makeup meaning they tend to be more on the sheer side in terms of pigmentation so I felt like I wouldn't be getting the most out of my money. Despite all this, I really wanted to try their new cloud paints specifically in the shade Dusk which has a gorgeous nude, pink-y brown color and because I've been really drawn to these type of colors lately, I immediately fell in love. I've been eyeing Lonely Planet liquid lipsticks since seeing them everywhere on the internet and I finally went and bought one for myself to see what the hype is about. Lonely Planet is an indie brand that sells liquid lipsticks and they are vegan and cruelty free which is always a great thing! Their shade range is to die for and I couldn't help but get one to see if it's any good.

I'm pretty sure you've already heard of Banila Co.'s Clean it Zero but in case you haven't, it is a cleansing balm for removing your makeup. This product has gained a lot of hype and since I finished up my huge bottle of Shu Uemura cleansing oil, I decided to bust this baby out of my drawer and finally use it. Since Shu Uemura's cleansing oils are my absolute favorite, I couldn't help but compare. For some reason, I thought the tub would be bigger but it only comes with 100ml product so I'm expecting to go through it quite quickly. So is it really worth the hype? Here's the breakdown:

I have been using the Naruko Raw Job's Tears Supercritical CO2 Pore Minimizing & Brightening Essence for two months now so I thought I could give you a more in-depth review. Nars is probably one of my most favorite makeup brands ever because I feel like I relate a lot to its aesthetic which I would like to describe as minimalist, understated, clean, and classic which translates to their packaging and products. Today I looked at my collection and realized I owned a lot of Nars products which brings me to this list of the best and the worst products of Nars in my opinion. I have to say though, I wouldn't say I hate the products in the 'worst' list but rather they are the products that didn't really impress me as much as the other ones that I loved. Also worth considering, when it comes to high end brands, my standards are pretty high since they do come with a hefty price tag so I believe it's right to expect only the best. By the way, I apologize that some of the products here look dirty 😅 obviously they are well used. 

I first heard about the Essence Pure Nude Highlighter from my favorite youtuber, Kathleen Lights and of course I was immediately intrigued because first and foremost, Essence is available here in the Philippines, and second it's a drugstore brand which means it's probably inexpensive. I initially looked for it at Watsons but I was informed by the sales lady that it was already discontinued which is a huge bummer but I've seen other girls posting on social media who were still able to buy it so if you're interested and happen to have an Essence counter in your area's Watsons, go check it out. Either way, I ordered mine from here and it arrived in good condition. Now on to my review!
